Well I have fixed a few poblems on the truck and it seems like it will be a good truck even though it has a few problems. The 4WD dosen't kick in on it the cable is fine, but the cable is not putting it in to 4WD and dosen't react when I shift it in to 4WD, the cable dosen't seem to be moving anyway not sure about the problem if anyone knows anything on how I could fix this feel free to help.

 

first of all is it electric shift or manual shift second check the vaccum lines all of them one bad one and it wont work had that problem also check the vaccum switch on top of the transfer case they tend to go bad (had that problem also)

 

I have a similar problem on my 98 S-10 accept mine will "slip" out of 2wd and start making aloud moaning noise. If immediately shift it into 4wd on the eltric selector switch it will go away. Could this be a problem with the Electric switch?
