Got an '96 S-10. Truck if great, but looking a bit lousy. One thing I need to do is paint my roof. It's faded and worn in places. Maybe I can do it with rattle cans.

When sanding, do I need primer-or what (and it too being sanded)?

 

To do it right you'd sand it, then lay the primer down then wet sand it, then paint it, then clear coat.
