Service engine light issue
My 99 S10 has frequently shown the SERVICE ENGINE light. Truck is in good shape, runs good, heat is fine, & always keep it maintained. Does this light mean anything serious or is it avoidable?

It very well could be serious or not. You need ti get the computer scanned for code. Lots of parts places will do it for free. Get the code and post them, we can go for there.
