Exclamation Transfer Case?

Have a 2004 S-10 Crew Cab pickup. Hearing whining noise when going faster than 35mph in 2wd. Used 4wd pretty consistent for a couple of days in snow, did not notice hearing it. Came back after short time be back in 2wd. Noise is like when my hub bearings were bad. Had front hub bearings on both sides replaced plus all bearings, seals, and ring & pinion gear replaced on front diff. Thinking its bearing(s) in transfer case. Would like a second opinion and maybe find out if rebuilding it (bearings, seals, gaskets, etc.) is something I could do. Have quite a few tools between my father-in-law and I, and have fairly good mechanical aptitude. In other words I'd like to know if I need a press to swap out the bearing (possibly a dumb question but I honestly don't know, work with more engines than tranys/t-c's, so this is kinda a new animal to me). Please help me out. Thank all who contribute in any way.
