Hi all,
the previous owner of my s10 blazer ma aged to loose his keys. For some reason unknown to me he didn't just replace the ignition lock but instead attempted to drill out the ignition lock. It failed miserably.
I managed to get the old ignition lock out and have a new one on the way. However, the pin that the ignition lock slides over was also damaged its the pin that on the other end slides into the gear that turns the rod that goes to the ignition switch. I cannot find it on any exploded view of the steering rack assembly . Does anybody know what the partnumber is or where to get it?

What year is the truck? It's too late now, but the dealership could have made a key from the VIN number.

 

it's a 92.

Yes he should have just ordered a new key. But too late for that now.

 

You might have to try some junk yards. You can also make one or something close that works. Maybe a 3D printer.
