About half a year ago, I got a letter from GM saying there wa reported problems with the cluster of 2004 Silverado's. It stated that if I was having problems with hesitation in the gauges or they weren't working at all, to take it into my GM dealership and it'll be fixed with no charge. Shortly after that I noticed my RPM gauge would hesitate and jump, even though my engine was running normally. I took it into my dealership and they just replaced my dash cluster.

Does this recall of the instrument panels pertain to 1992 chevy s10?

The recall is only from 2003 to 2006. No luck with the S10. I had a 03 Trailblazer with the cluster problem and they would not fix it either. They said the Trailblazer was not recalled.

Default Instrument Panel Recall

Does the "recall" cover an instrument panel if the voltmeter is not working at all and the tach fails about ten percent of the time? If so, does it have to be a Chevy dealer or can a GMC dealership handle it?

Everything else is okay, though.

Any GM dealer should be able to do the repair if the vehicle has a recall on it. If not the cost is around $600.00 at the dealer.
