Default 1996 Silverado blows Eng 1 fuse and has p0102 code

Vehicle Blows Eng 1 fuse and sets P0102 code.
It will still start and run.
Has new Maf sensor.
I disconnected O2 sensors, maf sensor, egr valve, evap purge solenoid,..20a fuse blows as soon as Key turned to on position.

Anyone had this problem before?
Ideas?

In addition to the components you unplugged, the ENG 1 fuse also powers the cam sensor and is an ignition input for the ECM on connector C1. Unplug these as well and turn the key on without starting - if the fuse still blows, there’s a direct short to ground within the harness. I’m not sure where exactly the splice for this circuit is, but normally they’re within the first foot of the wiring harness coming out of the fuse box. You’ll have to strip off the looming for inspection.

If not, one of the components or the wiring for that component is shorted.

If the fuse doesn’t blow, use a test light at each component connector that’s been unplugged and check for power on the pink wire. If one particular connector blows the fuse, the short is isolated to that particular circuit - strip the harness back from that connector to find it.

Most likely you’re looking for an area of the harness where the wiring has been chafed or rubbed through, so if you have to strip off the looming, thoroughly inspect areas where that’s a strong possibility.
