Default 2005 Chevy Silverado

The problem I am having is that my truck smells like antifreeze whenever I shut it off. There are no leaks. Can anyone help. Thanks.

probably the waterpump, but possible to be the intake.
Sounds like its getting on something hot and just burning which is why you cannot see a leak.

It the fluid low?

Shawn is probably right.(He knows his stuff.) My '04 -6.0 Vortec was on it's third waterpump by 48,000 miles, so if you have a 6.0,You should be watching the front of the engine very carefully. The good news is it's an easy repair. The Haynes manual covers it in detail.Parts and tools are available at the local parts store. The nearest I could tell, the fan-clutch thats so big it's got it's own zip code is the culprit, I replaced it (with an also available much lighter one) on the second go round, and for the extra 60$ I'll hazard to say it's worth it.

ive replaced alot of water pumps on these motors but most of the time the problem is just the pump to block gaskets. it is very to hard to see any coolant leaking but most of the time its on the drivers side of the pump. it wont be your intake it does not have any coolant ports through it.
