2011 2500HD

Hello all, I just bought a Chevy 2500HD LT with 23k miles on it. Love it so far but have found a concerning issue.
The headlights will flicker and dim for about a 1/2 second when the traction control system takes over. I can turn off the traction control with the button on the dash and the lights will still flicker when the system detects wheel spin. The traction control works exactly as it should, reducing power and rpm until the tires stop spinning. I looked at some of the major grounds to the motor block and fuse box but they look perfect.

Has anyone else had this sort of problem? Is their separate ground near both the headlights that could be broken? How can power be interrupted between two very different electrical systems? Could a traction control computer be going bad? I there some simple way to test different power circuits for a grounded wire? The battery load tests good but could it be as simple as needing a new battery. These are just ideas to get you thinking of the possibilities.
I live in Fairbanks Alaska, its dark all the time and icy at every intersection so i notice this flickering every single day I drive to work. Any Suggestions?

I just noticed the other night that the tail lights also flicker at the exact same time so its not just isolated to the headlight but a truck wide electrical issue.
