Default 2011 Impala Stabilitrak /Traction control

I have a 2011 Impala LT with 29K miles. the "Service Stabilitrak" and Traction control icon is on. I scanned the system and got a code U1827-FF and U10101-00. My scanner shows the SAS at 0 degrees and it never moves. I plugged in another SAS encoder I borrowed and it too gave no angular feedback also. The SAS sensor is circuit is dead. Any ideas as to where to look next.

Thanks for your response. I have an extended warrantee that is good until the end of this summer. I do not drive the car in the winter, so I have no plates on it currently. I would like to diagnose it in my garage and just fix it myself. I have never had good luck bringing any of my cars to a dealer. Stripped screws, grease stains and a numerous trips to fix the same item have been my experience. Generally electronic failures on cars are typical and someone has some experience and some tips to running the failure back to an initial part. I have the service manuals, but I am just not finding the right section that can lead me down a diagnostic path with a DVM and a good scanner. Thanks for your response.
