If is mechanical in tranny then why would going into tow haul- mode not clunk? .That is just tcm changing when to shift.The same mechanical parts are moving in both modes.I may be wrong through.

Tow/haul controls the shifting of the tranny.

GM rep called thursdayNot home to get call told them after 3pm called at 1pm no call back thursday or friday.Talked to brother inlaw about his chevy he had it to dealer 5times for rearend finally dealer had a gm rep come and rebuilt to specs.seems to be ok.I hope GM will fit my truck going to lawyer after Xmas for advise on getting my clunk fixed or nys lemon law replacement.This truck has 2500 miles and clunks like it has 100,000 miles.

You are not alone. I have filed a BBB claim, and they sent me the paperwork to file a Lemon Law claim. I have been trying to resolve same issue plus the other ones I mentioned above, now for four months. My pickup just sits in my garage. Have another meeting with the local TV news director next week. This story needs to go national for Chevy to do anything!

yanni. good luck,IT sucks getting a new truck and feeling like you wasted all that money on something that drives like a used one.No call back from rep for 3 days.WHY NOT JUST FIX THE PROBLEM Gm.I love it when service rep tells you they all do it and its fine.Ok its great NOT, not my first truck mr. goodwrench stop giving me the bs answer and fix even if you need to get someone from factory.

gm called today said to try another dealer,Going to third dealer after the new year.The mech.is a friends brother been working for dealer for 20 years. I talked to him already.I sure hope he can help.The last Service manager said truck was fine just gear lash.I saw the tech take my truck out alone and Service manager said he rode in it.Unless tech came back and get him which I am thinking not but I maybe wrong.Got all the papers from bbb so 3 strikes and GM you are out!!! this will be 4 tries to find and fix defect

I wouldn't get my hopes up that it will be fixed. Mechanics hands are tied if chevy bulletins say it is normal. Public opinion ( TV news story and internet forums) will move chevy into doing anything for you. That is my direction aside from the BBB and lemon Law claim. Post on other forums as well as this one. Attorney generals office is also a good direction to take. My truck still has only 1400 miles on it after four months and I won't drive it!

Yanni I have to have hopeThis whole ordeal with a brand new truck has stressed me out and makes me sick at times,What has to happen is the tranny or rearend has to totally crap out then they can tow it and spend 3 times as much to fix later and leave me stranded.I bought the truck due to I am towing my & wife's harleys to STurgis N.D. then on to utah a 6k mile trip.I had a jeep with a 147k so I thought this would be better because it is new.WHAT A JOKE THIS IS NOW.The jeep drive line did not clunk.If this truck dies going there I do not know what will happen I guess they can tow it to dealer out there.At least I can say told yea.I will update after 3 dealer.Jan 4th is my appointent,Maybe mr.Goodwrench will get a repair manual for Christmas.MerryChristmas to all.
