Default a couple questions, im a new chevy owner

Hi, im new to forum,I just bought a 2001 chevy silverado ext cab 4x4. im just wondering, i've been looking at bed rails, grille guards and such, and i've seen on websites they have a light duty 1500 and a heavy duty 1500 im wondering whats the difference? engine size? i have a v8 5.3 liter engine is that light duty? thank you

There is a separate 1500HD model. More than likely you have the light duty truck, unless a previous owner stripped the HD badge off the truck. Unfortunately I don't know the explicit differences for you to check for between the HD and the light duty.

the HD models have a 6.0L anddifferent tranny, also the front end is different i believe.
