Default Fuel Problem

I have a 98 z71 with a 5.7 vortec, the truck just died at highway speed tonight, i replaced the fuel pump in february, i checked fuel pressure and it reads 0 psi. but i can hear the pump run, has plenty of gas, even added some to make sure it had gas.could it be the fuel pressure regulator or the filter? Thanks, Russell

Default RE: Fuel Problem

Odds are another bad pump.

The pressure regulator will not cause a 0-psi reading that I have ever seen and the fuel filter would have to be completely 100% clogged which is possible but also not very probable.

Default RE: Fuel Problem

Problem solved, upper end of hose from pump to top of fuel module came off.
