Default Gas pedal not functional when removing brake rela

Hello everyone… first time on this forum and was hoping I can get some help or knowledge on why my 2001 c3500hd 8.1L, has no gas pedal when I remove the brake relay under the hood…
any help would be much appreciated 👍

A few years ago there were problems with uncontrolled acceleration and a solution they came up with was
"BRAKE OVER ACCELERATOR" and that was to allow people to stop a vehicle if uncontrolled acceleration took place.

That should answer the question of no acceleration if brakes were disabled..
