pretty much, yeah. and even radiator mounting requires no drilling. usually fans are held on by heavy zip ties (basically). some kits use an actual thermometer that goes inside upper radiator hose, some kits tie into the temp sending unit. some have their own sending unit as well. single speed, multi speed. you can get real simple too, wire it in to turn on with the ignition, tho that's not really the right way.

ok im lookin at jegs for ****s n giggles about priceing.. they got kits are are under $30..then kits that are 60+..wuts the difference? lol they all look the same.. to me anyway

alot is brand. some is how they hook up, speeds, sizes. send me the link, i can look at too.

so, what kits are you looking at? some of the kits are just the relays and sending units, no fans.

well i could get a fan from a junkyard or craigslist cheap. i aint payin $90 for a fan lol... and this is what i ment. http://www.jegs.com/i/Painless+Perfo...30101/10002/-1 is only $28 bucks does this 1 just stay on all the time? or what i see the other ones have a thermostat protection thing.. kicks on at like 195 and goes off at 185... which is probably what i want..

yeah, the $28 kit is just a basic relay kit. use this with an on/off switch. for you, you would def want one that kicks on and off automatically, like the other kit you mentioned. you're right tho, what you're looking at is just the wiring side. ebay/craigslist might be good place for fan(s). with the painless kits, you get a detailed diagram that walks you thru step by step. they are a great company.
