Default speedometer cable help

hi, i just bought a 1988 c1500 truck.. it supposed to have 700r4 in it, but i think it is a th350..my problem is, the speedometer cable is gone from the tranny..i took the guage cluster out and all it has behind it is a electrical plug, no place to scew cable to..i see its an electronic speedometer, but can i hook up to a th350? and how do i do that? thanks, alex..

Welcome to the forum!!! I believe that your truck is all electronc (no speedo cable), there should be a vehicle speed sensor on the trans. Is your speedo not working? or how do you know that the cable is gone? Check out this page: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/full.asp?page=39
it has the different vehicle speed sensors for your vehicle.
