only problem i could see is maybe driveshaft/u-joints. gettin driveline to match diesel would probably fix that if needed.

yea if the u-joints are different i can probably fix that at the autoparts shop or a driveline shop. I'm hoping everything else is the same though such as the upper and lower control/a arms and fitting in the same as the stock axels.

The rear axle is no problem, the front control arms are not going to fit.

will the 1/2 ton control arms work with the 3/4 ton axel steering knuckle setup or???
The guy has the whole frontend cut the frame just in front of the cab but i dont really want to weld anything just hoping to bolt it together.

also does anyone know a good site to get ring and pinion gears and what brand would be stronger?

thanks for all the help so far

I don't think the knuckles would work, I think you woud need to weld new mounts on for the contol arms. You can order gear sets at http://www.ringpinion.com/ that's where I have bought mine. The Yukon gears are good ones.
I just remembered that the light duty 3/4 ton with the 6 lug axles will bolt in, but they use the same 8 1/4 front diff and CV's as the 1/2 ton.
