Default warranty question

I have the 2yr/36,000mile drivetrain warranty on my truck. I haven't had to deal with much warranty work on any vehicle and i'm curious about a code i keep getting. Its the p0455. Gas cap code basically, has come on 4 times in the last few months. If I take my truck to the dealership will my warranty cover it? I'm thinking no. And decided the next time I buy a vehicle, no matter what I'm getting the best warranty possible.

The CEL just came back on today, I'm assuming its the same code I've been getting, I'll go to autozone tomorrow and see.

Talking

The supermarket has a special section just for warranties.

About 1000 sheets per roll for 1-ply brands, 2 ply is only about 600 sheets per roll.

you should be covered, unless you don't put your gas cap on right..
any emission related issues are covered under federal warrenty 7 yrs./70k mi. that also covers your cats..

good luck

Much of wich yes that should be covered but if not try checking the gas cap and if it still comes on it could be a bad gas cap, not the most uncommon it also depends on where you live, for instents if the gas tank cant vent or depressurize properly it could be the climate in which you live in, sounds funny but very true. Its sad I know been there done that

The code was p0442. I'm gonna buy a new gas cap and go from there. Also I'm going to check the vents. That trucks been down a lotta dirt roads maybe it's clogged. I'll have to check my paperwork again. but i swear i remember it being 2yr/36,000mile. Either way by May I'll be pass 36,000 miles.
