Default 01 Silverado 1500 Brake Caliper bracket bolt?

New to this site. Anyway i took my 2001 Silverado 1500 5.3L through some mud in NC. Well on my way home i noticed my Breaks were acting different. I looked at my driver side caliper to find that i was completely missing one of the caliper bracket mounting bolts and the other one was only finger tight. Now my Problem is that i cannot find this bolt anywhere. Iv went to Auto part stores, TSC, Home Depot, and hardware stores as well as looking online. Anyone know where to find this bolt New! i want to try and stay away from the junk yards if i can.
Thanks, Chad

You'll probably have to get the bolt through GM or rebuild your caliper.

I called one dealership and they didn't have any. and the bolts are separate from the caliper so they wouldn't come with a rebuild kit. I want really don't want to go to a junk yard but its looking like my only option.

Hey chad why is the junk yard such a bad place. All you are looking for is a bolt, its not a complex part or anything, it is just a bolt. I would just go to the junk yard get it and avoid all this hassle you are having trying to find it at a dealership and everywhere else.

I would prefer to have the bolt new to avoid any future problems. Thats why i did not want to go to the junk yard. I just had one custom made today and only costs a couple bucks. Thanks tho

I had the same thing happen w/ my '03. I picked up a few 14mm bolts from Ace Hardware and they fit perfectly. Not sure if they're the same size, but hopefully that little tidbit of info helps some one some day.
