Default 07 Silverado Caliper Bracket Issues

Newby here so I will try to be as specific as possible.
I have an 07 Silverado 1500 4x4. (Love the truck)
I replaced the front pads twice in 5 years and I keep
running into the same issue. The metal clips that go
on the caliper bracket to seat the pads do not fit. I
keep reusing the old ones. Well they're worn out.
I have cleaned the bracket as much as possible without
removing any material. Now I have a sticking pad. I
can smell it. Do I replace the bracket? The new pads
come with various clips. Should they fit the new bracket?

Post note.

The last time I bought aftermarket pads, I had to grind down the tabs that seat in the caliper bracket just to get them to fit. The brackets themselves do not seem to have a lot of rust on them. Someone throw me a bone here :-)

Buy oem pads. They will come with the proper clips. Cheap line aftermarket parts are junk.

When you change the pads, the calliper brackets need to be cleaned. Rust will build up under the clips and the pads won't slide properly.
