Default '01 Silverado radio issue

Just picked up this '01 Silverado and discovered that the am/fm/disc radio has no audio. All functions seem to be working, tuning, disc play and eject, etc but there is no audio output to the speakers not even a slight hum. So, are there output fuses on the radio? Or is this radio just toasted? Looking for ideas before I tear into this much further. Thanks.

Theres nothing that can affect the output unless it has a remote amp. Its possible that the amp fuse is blown or the signal wire has lost connection.

Also check for grounded speaker leads. One wire that gets grounded will kill all audio.
