Thinking of throwing a cam into my truck its a 2004 silverado 5.3 I havent had a clue into wutt kind of cam i should get. if anyone could help that would be great thnx..

That is a loaded question. what do you intend to do with the truck, drag race, tow a trailer, rock climb? The rpm range you need the power in will have a lot to do with what cam you run. Plan on new valve springs,too, if you go with more lift.
Do you read any other foruns on trucks or GEN III engines? I can give you some leads if you don't.

I would look into buying a kit that includes complete heads, intake and cam. I believe Holley, Elderbrock and Trick Flow should make them, probably along with other companies.
