05 rear brakes
ok, so ive had enough of the rear drums going out of round, replacing them at $100 each and them lasting untill i tow my trailer and theyre oval again.
shoot me some suggestions, should i just find an 06 axle and put under it ( since they are rear disc) or does someone make a decent conversion? i honestly dont know if i would need to change the master cyl or not....
I tow on alot of hilly and curvy roads and these brakes just arent cutting it at all.

im sure its a little bit invovled to change them over. the rears on your truck are "dynamic rear portional" whatever that means. im not really a brake guy.

One of the major differences between the 1/2 ton and the 3/4 ton truck is larger brakes.
The 2500HD models come with rear disc brakes standard. If you do swap rears, you'll be dealing with different tire sizes, and the small problem of updating your PCM with your new specs.
Sounds like drum brakes don't agree with your trailer. Maybe you could find out if you can get a set of rear disc brakes for a 1500.
