Default 07 silverado surges and clunk noise at stop.

Hey I want to know if any one has found a fix for this. It only happens sometime. When I stop at a light and my foot is on the break not moving I get surge clunk noise kind of like the truck was bumped from the back. I want to know what it is and if it can be fixed. I just bought the truck and it has 22500 miles on it and deciding if i should take it back or not because of this problem

any info would be helpful thanks

I believe there is a TSB for a re flash on the PCM on that. Even if it is something different it should still be under the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty.

It may be due to the driveshaft sticking, a very common problem in 07 Chevys. Take it to the dealer, there is a bullitin out on the fix and is covered under warranty.

That does sound like the slip yoke sticking on the splines. my 07 did that after 10k miles, and the dealer replaced the yoke and they have a better synthetic grease they put on the splines.

yep they told me the same thing about this problem on my '07 silverado,
but they never call me back to fix it, they said that they where waiting for some slip yoke and they will fix it by the end of the week, that was about 2 months ago!!!
but i'm still under warranty so i will take it back to the dealership and i will get me a truck for that day period!!!

Thanks it looks like this is a big issue with these trucks i guess ill keep it and just take it to get serviced. Hopefully this wont damage the truck in the long run and lead to more problems
