Default 145Amp Alternator

I there,

I have a 1999 Chevy silverado 1500 4X4 with the 5.3L, I'm looking at replacing my stock alternator with the 145 amp version because I have a small audio system with an amp. If install this I won't damage anything in my truck?

Thanks

No, you should be able to install the larger alternator. keep in mind though that it may have a larger drive pulley so you may need to replace the serpentine drive belt and or the take up pulley to a different size....
