Default alternator problems

Can anyone tell me where the wire from the alternator go? I know the one that is screwed on goes to the battery then I don't know where the red and brown wires on the harness should be going. Somewhere in the red wire it was burnt apart and it won't let my alternator run the car. Please someone help me out. I have been looking for hours and can't find another end that is burnt up or anything. I tried finding some wire diagrams but no luck on getting them to help.

Default RE: alternator problems

The blk wire goes to the battery, BRN to the instument panel, the other goes to the Ignition Switch. I think thats how it works.

I'm not sure if thats how it goes but its up and running. I just started trying wires that had an opening to them and ending up finding the right one. Alot of wire were all burnt up and got them covered with some heat sheild stuff. Thanks for the help though.
