This is my first post so bear with me.

I have a 1989 chevy 1500 2 wheel drive with a 305 and a 5 speed tranny. I also have a built up 355 smallblock chevy and tranny that I have been thinking about sticking into my 89'. Just wondering what my main concerns would be and issues??? from my understanding any small block chevy should basically bolt right into the 89'?

It'll bolt right in. My first truck was an 89, I will have another. Whether or not it'll run right is another issue. You may have to do some injector work or computer work.
What did the 355 come out of?
