Exclamation 1992 Chev 2500 almost stalls when braking

Hi everyone, first post on the board so thanks for listening. Ive got a 1992 3/4 ton with a 350 5 speed that seems like it wants to stall whenever i put in the clutch and roll up to a stop sign. The rpms drop to about 100 and then climb back up to normal but it doesnt sound good and makes me nervous if Im in traffic. I can be driving on the highway doing 80 and if i put the clutch in and let off the gas it seems to do the same thing so Im at a loss. Ive had the TPS replaced, the IAC cleaned, new filters and gaskets in the TBI system, fuel filter changed. If anyone has any ideas Im open to all suggestions. Thanks!

I had the same problem on my 350 tbi automatic. when i let off the gas it would bog to about 100 rpms then recover. real annoying. I replaced the TPS and ECTS and it did nothing. It seemed to only do it once the engine got warm. brought it into a shop, they unhooked the egr. said it was faulty. now it doesnt do it anymore i dont know how they did it either. the check engone light inst even on. they said i should get a new one however.

Have you checked your battery or alternator? Loose wiring as well?

Well I disconnected the egr and plugged the lines and it went away! no check engine light either. will it hurt anything to run it without an egr hooked up?

not really , it may run a bit stronger too, I don't think the EGR was monitored by the ECM unitl 96-97 models

I am glad my model didnt come with EGR, got in Texas. EGR is like a human that smokes, it just slows you down physically You need it for a smog inspection though in most states.
