So I noticed today that when I went to use my truck that it would not start, so I checked things out and saw that the dash says its in drive. I switch gears like the shifter will move but it still says its in drive, the truck wont even attempt to start but I know the battery isnt dead cause the radio and all the lights and windows still work.

 

Check the shift cable; may be broken.
