I have a 1997 Silverado with 290K miles. It has been running excellent until two days ago. The truck idles fine, but once it is put in gear the engines shuts off or drives for about 100 yds and then shuts off. It doesn't sputter, it doesn't backfire, the engine just shuts off. Suggestions?

No I never found an answer. I had it narrowed down to the fuel pump / electrical fuel control circuit, but did not have the time or the funds to tinker further. Consequently, the truck was donated.
