Default 1998 chevy wont start

Truck has good battery and lights come on fuel pump cycles but when key is turned to the start position nothing happens. 12vdc guage does not move acts like a vehicle that is not in neutral or park. I have checked all fuses and swapped the relays under the hood. Any one know of a common problem with this vintage? key switch, neutral switch, computer????

Tried to start truck tonight. Key did nothing when cycled the first time tried again and it engaged briefly then I keeped cycling the key and the truck started. I drove it home and have shut it off and restsrted it several times with no issues. Now I don't trust it at all. I would feel better if it just quit.
