My brakes went out on me this weekend....the leak is between the cab and the bed...I have done some research and found what I think is the recall however I have never heard about it from Chevy directly.....any one aware or had the brakes give out before???

I havn't heard of a recall. Their could be a bulletin but unless it's a technical service bulletin then you will never know about it.

The only recall that I know of doing with brakes is inspecting the wheel speed sensors for the ABS system for corrotion. And it only applies to certain states.

So if you havn't received anything in the mail saying to bring the truck in for a brake problem then you SOL.

 

there is a recall which involves a brake pipe contacting under body cross sill.....far from "between cab and bed"...more "under drivers seat area along top side of frame"..if if rubs through the pipe=LEAK....is there a union there or is it contacting something irregularly ?....possible fracture ?
