2001 Silverado 1500
Hello Everyone,
First time posting but I am driven to this by a problem I can't figure out. I own a 2001 Chevy Silverado with 149k miles. I bought it in 2006 with 23k. It is a daily driver and I like it. Still in mostly great condition except for one thing. I am having trouble with my HVAC temp control. I have replaced the unit in the dash with an OEM unit, I have replaced the actuator with an OEM unit. And still I can't get it to work. I checked the ground at the passenger side a pillar and it is tight, looks like new. I am inclined to think it might be a bad wire but I don't know how to figure that out. I have subscribed to the Mitchell Online Repair site which seems to be very good. I might also add that the speed control and the selector for heat, defrost etc. work fine. The inside/outside air does not but I am mainly concerned with the temp. control. Has anyone out there ever had a problem like this? I would appreciate any serious help. Thank you.
