2003 1500 motor swap?

Alright first of all I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 4.8L and a 5spd trans. Has anyone done or know if you can swap in a 5.3L and will the 5.3L bolt up to my 4.8L's man. trans?

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but why not just measure it?

You'll probably want to reprogram the CPM for the larger engine size, though.

the engine will fit fine but after u swap engine the ecu will need to be tuned to a 5.3. You cannot change the computer. find someone who does hp tuners and thats the best way
