2005 drum brakes
What can be done with the crappy drum brakes that came on the 2005's? I had a 2000 that went 98,000 miles without a brake job. My 2005 won't go 10,000 miles without one. Has anyone done an aftermarket 4 wheel disc job?

2005 1500 ext cab Z71. Right now I would have to say it is the worst truck I have ever owned. My last Silverado went 200,000 miles with nothing bad to speak of. My current truck will be my last Chevrolet unfortunately.
I bought it sight unseen, thinking the last thing they would change would be the brakes. Why did they go back to drums? It doesn't make any sense.
