Default 2007 Chevy Classic Engine Upgrades?

In my 2007 Chevy Classic truck I have a 4.3 Liter. I need a serious upgrade. What are some possible engines I could place in my truck that will not be a huge hassle and match up well? While at the same time not spending tons of money.

Because Of the computer systems in newer cars/trucks it would be a big hassle and expense to up grade to a V8. You could probably go trade it in on a truck with a V8 in it and spend around the same money with out the hassle and down time with out a truck.

I assume that you're running a stock rear end, ie: G80 and 3.42 or 3.73 rear gearing. If you're leaning to build more Hp, make sure you have the goods to run with it first... that's a serious upgrade.

If you're looking for a decent upgrade, a good CAI and a tune.

There's not really much you can do with a 4.3L as far as performance, sorry. I'm with MDTahoe.

i gotta agree. by time you get the wiring harnesses swapped, or spliced in, get a motor and all, you could be into truck more than it's worth. want a v8? best to trade your truck for a v8 one. way cheaper, no headache.

well you could put a supercharger on it. That would give you a nice power increase.

That truck's rear end would bust b/c it couldn't handle the torque.

I don't think a supercharger would give it that much power. not sure what you get with the 4.3 work truck but does it have a 6bolt or a 5 bolt. either way I think the rear end would be fine.
