I have a 2007 Silverado c-1500 classic and when I turned on my A/C yesterday it would only work on setting 5, full blast. 1-4 did nothing. I got in it today and now it doesn't work on any setting. When I turn it on you can hear the ac compressor kick on but only a loud click once when the **** is turned on. I replaced the blower motor today thinking that might be it and it would be easy but with a brand new blower motor its still not blowing. Any ideas or suggestions. I am outside my warranty by 10k miles.

 

most blower motors have a big resistor that plugs in right beside it. if the resistor is no good 1-4 will not work. but the 5th position bypasses the resistor and works. i have seen cases where the resistor went bad and melted the plug as well. Try lookin at that. hope that helps
