2007 service tire pressure monitoring system
I got the above message on my truck today. Does anybody know exactly what it means. The tire pressure is fine and the truck only has 300 miles. Does this need to go back to the dealer to reset or can I do it my self? Thanks for any help,Brian

one of your speed sensors is out, did you swap wheels??? if you do you need to reset or replace speed sensors as well
Sorry Tire pressure, lol, the pressure is registered individually on each tire, one of the sensores may be off here as well

No new wheels and the tires are aired up to 40lbs. each. I just started the truck and got the error message. I am going to the dealer this afternoon to let them look at it. Thanks for the reply.

40 PSI ?
I can't think of a 2007 Silverado that requires 40psi.
Double check the "Tire and Load Information" sticker in the drivers door jamb just below the striker and set the tires to the specified pressures indicated. (usually around 31-32 for 1500's and 60-80 for 2500HD).

air pressure for the 07 should be 35 p.s.i . and cycle the key to the start position but dont start the truck ... press the odo reset until you see the tpm reset on the dic . then press and hold for a few seconds and you will hear the horn go off 2 honks and youre done !!!!!!! reprogrammed .....

I had to take mine to the dealer to have this problem fixed, and my light is still on. I don't have the words blocking the mileage anymore, so I live with it.
I too keep my tires aired up to 40 PSI. They are too soft IMHO at 35 PSI, which is what the door jam states.

Serivce Tire Monitor indicator keeps turning off & on
So for the last few weeks the STM has been coming on. After a few days it turns off and I have no issues for a while. The only time this seems to happen is after coming back from a dirt road that I usually travel at least once a week. At first I thought it was just caused by dust. But about 2 weeks ago I had the TPM come on for my front right tire. After messing around and checking all the tire pressures I finally took it to the shop. We found that when ever the previous owners had changed the rims out(they had winter set & summer set) the sensors got switched on all the tires ( front right is rear left ect.) Ive had the truck a year and this is first time ive had any issues. Could this be the cause of STM indicator? Or just a bad sensor.
Thanks!
Thanks!
