I have a 2007 Silverado LT which has the chrome 17" rims. I'm wondering if i can upgrade to an 18" rim that came stock on the 2010 Silverado? I went to the dealer today and he said the computer would not be able to read the speedometer and the tranny wouldn't work properly. He told me I was stuck with the rims that came with my truck.

If anyone has changed tires and rims please let me know what steps you had to go through (Computer update, TPMS)? Thanks in advance.

 

You can change it..idk what the guy at the dealer is smokin honestly. They're technically the same size tire height wise so there shouldn't be a problem

 

Don't listen to that dealer guy.. Lol.. Some times even they don't know what they are talking about.. Lol
I'd say if you find the wheels for a good price go for it. Good luck
