Default 2008 Silverado Door Issue...

I took my truck out hunting in Western Nebraska this past weekend. Right now, the weather out there is windy, dry and dusty. I noticed after a few days in the wind and dust, the passenger door would sqeak and rub real bad, like metal on metal sound. Once I got home I sprayed some WD-40 on it and it helped, but still doesn't open smooth. Any ideas??

What you want to use is some 'Lithium Grease'. You can get it at virtually any auto parts store. Stuff works wonders and will make your doors open and close smooth again.

It is weird that those conditions made the squeak be noticed, or noticeable. I would try the 'Lithium Grease'. Let us know how this works out for you.

I thought the same thing Breanne, but that's when I really started to notice the door. I'll let you know what happens with the Lithium Grease.
