Default 2014 Emergency Brake mechanism.

Wanted-Discussion regarding the 2014 silverado EMERGENCY BRAKE mechanism's method of working:
Hello:
If I leave my Emergency Brake on and drive, a alarm (beeping i think) goes off. THIS IS GOOD (Drove my Dodge Tooo often with brake on).

How does the mechanism work? I mean, does the drive system sense the initial resistance to movement? Help? I know someone knows, and can explain in simple words.

here's my guess...the ebrake foot pedal grounds a signal wire when the brake is applied. the bcm knows the ebrake is applied when the voltage on this wire goes low. the bcm then sends a message via the data lines to sound the chime warning in the radio and warning light in the ipc.

Tech2 gave it the best and probably the most correct way.... I'll nut shell it to its probably a switch on the E-brake peddle...
