Default 2015 4WD Actuator problem

A “service 4wd” msg came up on control center. Noticed I’m stuck in 4H. I try to DIY with most problems. Pulled actuator to find it is fully extended I’d imagine that’s engaging my 4wd. Had to put it back in that way until I’m able to find the part. It’s the 4 pin unit model 600-118. Local part stores telling me that vendors can not get it. However they all seem to have the 5 pin unit in stock. Is there a way to change out the wiring harness to convert to the 5 pin connector? Also I’m not 100% this is the problem. Is there a way I could check the current plug or actuator with a multimeter?

If anyone can provide any info that could help, it’d be much appreciated.
thanks in advance

Rock Auto has the part you need. Dielectrical grease in the connector and RTV sealer on the threads keeps water out.
