Default 305ci 3/4 Ton

Did Chevy use the 305 ci V8 in their 3/4 tons in the early 90s?

I have an engine in good shape but don't know if it has enough torque for the weight.

Thanks

I didn't mention that the 3/4 ton has 4.10 final gears. Yes it is a Ford to boot....:-O Don't wanna / can't afford to feed the big block any longer! But if the 305ci Chevy doesn't have the grunt, then the gas mileage wouldn't be that much better either.

Come on Chevy community, surely someone has an opinion at least!

Yes, Chevy did put the 305 in their light-duty 3/4 ton (7200 lbs GVW). I believe that the smallest motor in the 8800 lbs GVW 3/4 ton was the 350.

305 isn't a ford motor.

Look at your vin number, the 8th number always tells you your engine. From 88-95 if the 8thdidgit is a H, then it's a 305, K was a 350.
