I just bought an 84 k3500dumpwith350hd/4spd. It has the 4 barrel quad jet and I am looking to replace it. Would the edelbrock performer intake and the edelbrock 1406 600cfm carb be a good choice or would the 750 cfm model be better? And should I add headers?I will be hauling gravel/loam, poultry/cattle feed and firewood. Thanks for any suggestions. John

 

Before sticking a brand new intake and carb on that I would consider a quick overhaul. northern auto parts makes a 350 rebuild kit for 180 bucks. If thats not what your looking for the intake you suggested is perfect and I would stick with a 600cfm edelbrock because sometimes the high cfm carbs can be too much for the motor and you will end up tuning it way down in its power range for it run without rebuilding it.
