Default 4.8 HEADS ON 5.3 Will this work
I have A stuck exhaust valve # 7 on my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with the 5.3. Truck has 158462 miles on it.I have another motor that is a 4.8. Will the heads off the 4.8 work on my 5.3 motor. If not, dose anyone have any old time ideas on how to get it unstuck. Any info would be great.

I believe the only difference between the 4.8 and 5.3 engine is the crank shaft....4.8 shorter stroke.

The heads swap out no problem.
