Default 4 Wheel Drive

Have a 2007 /1500 Work truck, the 4 wheel drive won't engage when it's below freezing, shift is on the floor, transfer case is going into 4 high and 4 low. It has to be put in a garage or temp in 50's to start working.

So are you saying that the truck is saying it is in 4 high or 4 low but is not really engaged.

Does the transfer case engage? IE when you shift it in 4h, and you look under the truck, does the front shaft spin? If so, you may have a problem w/ the engaging mechanism inside the pumpkin of the front axle.
