I have a 1995 Silverado 2wd. The tranny went out at 282K. I bought a tranny from a friend that matches up except for the neutral safety switch is different. Mine is located on the shifting shaft and the one I bought must be out of a 94 or older. Is there anything I can do to make this work?
Thanks

I don't know what can be done. I know the plug at the bottom is for back up lights. but the upper plug has 4 wires going to it and I dont have a clue what they are for. I'm use to the older Turbo 350/400's, before all of this electronic stuff.

I'm not sure. It has the round plug on the right side like my 95 does, The numbers above the shifter is 8680517.

If you are able to plug it in put the vehicle in natural and try to start it if it turns over and and starts then the nss is good
