i have a 2000 chevy 2500 3/4 ton 5.7 350 2wd that id like to convert to a 4wd. ive readalot on it and i would like some opinions. i am really attached to my truck ive had it for a year and a half and its "newer" now than it was when i got it. i usually do all of my truck work but this will be a real project. does anyone know anything about conversion kits, parts ect. and how much it might cost to get it done?

 

here's one place that sells a prefabbed kit ready to bolt/weld in. you can google "solid axle swap kits" for more sites. install costs just depends on welders/fabbers in your area. i'd contact local 4x shop or weld shop.
