01' 8.1L Suburban Rt Side Exhaust Gasket Difficulty?

Might give it a try.

Mechanic said 2 hours and parts $190.

Thoughts?

 

It is not hard changing the gasket for the manifold; however, if you do try this job yourself better make sure you have one of them bolt pullers because not one time have I ever gotten those bolts out without breaking one off. I was told one time before to buy some of that penetrating stuff to loosen up the bolts before I tried, but just so you know bolts for exhaust are very prone to breaking. So, not a hard job just a pain because the bolts like to break.

As for the mechanic that doesn't seem like too bad of a price.
