I have a similar question & need advice. I have a ’81 C-10 SWB 2wd with 350/4bbl. I have been thru (2) TH350s & (2) 700R4s. I want a stick, preferably w/OD. I have started gathering parts from a ’84, pedals & hanger bracket, 11”flywheel w/clutch/p/pl, bell housing w/fork & worn out 3 spd.(no shift linkage) & cross member. I do not have the bell crank(z-bar) or frame bracket since it is riveted to frame and won’t come off. Can this part be found? I think a hydraulic clutch might be easier to deal with but don’t know if it will bolt up or how much of the parts I now have will still work. NP A833/NP440 4 spds with shifters are hard to find so I have considered NV3500 or NV4500, again will either bolt up with minimum hassle? What about the drive shaft length? I know I will have to cut a hole in the floor for the shifter but assumed the other holes would be there but I can’t find them. I don’t weld or have a torch. Any help?
